Photo Tips

Just a few photo tips and suggestions follow, to make your project look it's best! We've all spent alot of Time and Money on our toys, let's make 'em look good!

1. Photo's Must Be High Quality Digital Photo's, 3 mega-pixels or better for Clocks. For Wall Posters, 3 mega-pixels is acceptable, but 5 mega-pixels or better is prefered. Cell phone camera's have greatly improved, but a point and shoot camera is a better choice.

2. Please save them as a jpeg or psd format. The bmp format doesn't give good enough end results. And sorry, but we cannot use printed photo's like 35 mm. Save them onto a Flash Drive (Preferred) or a CD. These will be returned to you with you order in the same condition that they were received.

3. Please don't send us photo's that are blurry or out of focus, for they are not useable or fixable. The TV Shows and fantacy land of Hollywood repairing poor photo's is all a myth. Retake the photo's.

4. Please Turn Off the Date Stamp!

5. Avoid glaring full sun. You'll get better results on an overcast day, or in the shade.

6. Watch for Reflections! Like houses, trees, people walking by, a car parked close to yours, or yellow parking lot stripes. These reflections can all ruin your pictures. We can do some minor touch-ups, but we can't perform miracles!!!

7. We suggest the hood, trunk, and doors closed, for the Main Photo, plus roll All your windows down, to reduce unwanted reflections. Got a Ragtop? Top down always looks great! Let's see the Engine, NOS System, etc. as close-ups.

8. On close-ups, like emblems, insignia's, or decals, take them at a slight angle, so that the reflection of YOU doesn't show up in the picture! Got a Vanity License Plate? Take a straight on shot, for there usually is no reflection!

9. For Interior shots, take the Keys out of the ignition, neaten up or hide your seat belts, plus close the ashtray and cup holders. Straighten the A/C vents, and line up all the knobs and levers. Even up the seats, and recline them the same. Put all the tapes, CD's and other stuff somewhere's else. Got floor mats? You may want to take them out for now. These minor touches will give it a nice, clean look.

10. For Boats, stow all your gear (land lines, fishing poles, towels, etc.), and close all the storage bins and hatches. Got a Speed Boat or a Go-Fast? Let's see it in action! Got a matching trailer and tow rig? Well, let's show them off too! Two Big Blocks? Three??? Yup - Gotta see those!

11. Take ALOT of pictures. Straight on, at an angle, or standing up on a ladder, both full view and close-ups. Go thru them later, and then send us your best! If you have a preference, note what photo you would like as the Main Photo, the background, etc. If you would like to send us a couple "extra" photo's, feel free. But please don't send us a hundred!

12. And most important, Have fun!
